Our current approach
Student safety is central to how Page & Code works. Tutors supporting school-age learners are expected to have appropriate DBS checks, and sessions should take place in suitable online or in-person environments.
For younger learners, parents or guardians should be involved in arranging sessions and communication. We expect all tutors to communicate professionally, respect boundaries and raise any concerns promptly.
Page & Code is a growing tutoring brand rather than a school, public body or regulated institution. As the organisation develops, we will continue strengthening and documenting our safeguarding procedures so students, families and tutors know what to expect.
Expectations for sessions
Appropriate checks
Tutors working with school-age learners are expected to have an appropriate DBS check. Suitability and safeguarding expectations are considered before matching.
Suitable environments
Online and in-person sessions should take place in appropriate settings that support focused, professional tutoring.
Parent involvement
Parents or guardians should be involved in arranging tutoring for younger learners and should know when and where sessions are taking place.
Professional communication
Communication should relate to tutoring, remain appropriate and use agreed channels. Tutors are expected to maintain clear boundaries.
Raising a concern
If a student, parent, guardian or tutor has a concern about behaviour, communication, boundaries or the safety of a session, they should raise it with Page & Code promptly. We will listen, document the concern and consider the appropriate next step.
If you need to raise a safeguarding concern, contact us directly and we will respond as soon as possible. Do not use the website for an emergency; contact the appropriate emergency service where immediate help is needed.
